Carrot roll with cheese and crab sticks

Vegetables can not just be an accompaniment or an addition to meat or fish dishes. There are recipes where vegetables play the role of the main course. These recipes contain, for example, all types of rolls and vegetables. And these are not only famous eggplants, but also potato, spinach and cabbage recipes. Rolls are made from both pre-fried and fresh vegetables. Have a nice meal!

For a carrot roll, a real cake is baked, just without the addition of flour. It is enough to fry the finely grated carrots in butter and then mix the vegetable mass with egg yolk, whipped protein and bake in the oven for more than 15 minutes. And then – a matter of technology, which is described in detail in the recipe of the appetizer. A salad with crab sticks with cheese is placed on the cake and rolled into a roll. Before slicing, the snack roll should definitely be in the fridge. So it will not crumble, and the discs will turn out to be smooth and beautiful.

 

For the recipe you need:

  • eggs – 3 pcs.
  • carrots – 400g
  • butter – 80g
  • hard cheese – 100 g
  • crab sticks – 50g
  • green (fresh dill) – 2-3 branches
  • mayonnaise – 2 tbsp

Prescription:

Prepare all products for the carrot roll. Wash carrots, peel, grate on a fine grater. Send a piece of butter to the pan, melt it, put the carrots there and, stirring with a spatula, bring until soft, but do not fry.

Separate the yolks from the whites of the eggs. Add chopped dill and salt to the yolks in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt to a glass with proteins. Beat the egg whites until fluffy.

Add cooled carrots to the egg yolks. Then stir in the egg whites.

Stir the carrot mass for a roll until smooth.

Use a silicone baking mat or regular oiled parchment. Spread the carrot mixture in an even layer. Bake in an oven preheated to 180C for 15 minutes.

Prepare the filling. Finely chop the crab sticks and fresh herbs. Rivost. Combine products and season with mayonnaise.

Let the carrot cake cool. Transfer to plastic wrap. Distribute the filling carefully and roll everything into a roll. Put the roll wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Cut carrot roll with crab and cheese into portions and serve. Have a nice meal!
